These terms of service govern your use of the services provided by Magic Reader Technologies, Inc. ("magicreader," "we," "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using magicreader, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

magicreader is a browser extension that processes webpage content to make it easier to read. The service can shorten, simplify, and restyle text on webpages you choose to process.

3. Account Registration

To use magicreader, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Plans

magicreader offers Free, Plus, and Pro subscription tiers with different features and limits.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed by Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineer the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission
  • Use the service to process content you do not have the right to access
  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to generate excessive or artificial usage
  • Share your account credentials with others

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that: the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; processed content will be accurate or preserve the meaning of the original; or the service will work on all webpages. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any processed content before relying on it.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

9. Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

Software Updates

We regularly update the magicreader browser extension to improve performance, add features, fix bugs, and maintain security. We provide full support for the current version of the extension and are committed to helping you keep it up to date.

From time to time, updates may be required to continue using the service. When this happens, older versions of the extension may no longer function. We focus our development and support resources on the current version and do not maintain backward compatibility with previous versions.

Your subscription provides access to the magicreader service as it exists at any given time, not to any particular version of the software. If you choose not to update to the current version, we are unable to provide refunds for any resulting loss of functionality.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware, rather than in court. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. You must bring any claim related to these terms or the service within one year of the event giving rise to the claim, or the claim is permanently barred.
